How to make your very own almond milk at home

Let’s be real, it’s VERY hard to find a simple ingredient, organic and healthy nut milk without all the harmful oils and additives now days. What if I told you, you can make your very own almond milk at home and it can be super easy and extremely affordable! Yes, a delicious and guilt free homemade almond milk!

What will you need…

  • water
  • 1/3 cup almonds
  • salt
  • an automatic milk maker ( I got mine from Amazon but it is not currently available)

How to make…

First you will want to add the water up to the line that marks MAX , the 1/3 cups of almonds and the pinch of salt into the AlfaBot Milk Maker. AFTER you’ve added them and closed the lid you can now connect the AlfaBot and press start. You will allow it to run for one full cycle. That will make you the most perfect, creamy, unsweetened almond milk!

This is the simple most basic unsweetened almond milk recipe BUT you can throw a date or two in there with some vanilla extract and make it sweet. It’s THAT easy!

The AlfaBot Milk Maker comes with a little book full of nut milk recipes you can try if you’re feeling adventurous. I hope you can try this and love it so much to say what I said, “Im never going back to store bought milk ever!”

I’ve found that 1/3 cup of almonds is not enough to make a tasty almond milk. If whole almonds are used the suggested 60g is more like 1/2 cup, then I fill with water to the minimum line and add 1/8th tsp sea salt. The result is much better than the other recipe.
