The peach dessert that can help your gut stay strong

Yesterday, I got home from a morning full of errands and, oh man, it was so hot! I was craving something sweet but refreshing and  fruity. I decided to make a simple four ingredient peach dessert that was delicious yet healthy and nutritious. It has been about a year since I started eating dairy yogurt again, the good kind, and let me tell you, it has been life changing. I was always afraid because, of course, I was aware of all the information on the internet about how terrible dairy is but I also started educating myself on facts and science behind dairy and what is truly does to our bodies and gut.

I decided to give it a chance and after a lot of research on which one to choose I finally found one I was comfortable with. I do want to say, this is my personal experience and every body is different. So with that in mind, what were the benefits of me switching to dairy yogurt you may ask?

I started to see less tummy issues. My stomach was always very sensitive and irritated. No matter what I would eat I could not shake off the tummy aches, bloatedness and nausea that I would often get randomly. I just thought I was one of those people with a sensitive stomach and I had to deal with it. Little did I know my stomach was lacking good bacteria, the kind that we find in good dairy products, like yogurt! After giving an organic grass fed Greek yogurt a chance slowly my symptoms of a bad stomach went completely away. So this is why I love making little snacks and dessert using a good source of healthy bacteria and fats our bodies need! Now let’s get to it!

The Peach Dessert that will help your gut…

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of Organic, grass-fed, GREEK yogurt – Boosts metabolism, improves gut health and more

1 or 1/2 tbs of 100% Pure Organic Maple Syrup – Has anti – inflammatory properties and more. Plus is a healthy way to sweeten your food

1 tbs Organic MCT Oil – Good source of energy and boosts metabolism

1 Fresh Organic Peach – Improves digestion, decreases inflammation and lots more

You can start by dicing your peach and setting half of it aside. You can then mix all the ingredients in a cute cup or bowl until fully smooth adding half of the diced peach to the mixture. Lastly, top it off with the rest of the peach and you may add some cinnamon or a little drizzle of Maple Syrup to make it pretty!

Enjoy!
